Supporting the Community

Derwentside Amateur Swimming Club

We're extremely proud that Epicurium is an official sponsor of Derwentside Amateur Swimming Club, who train at two local facilities close to our distribution centre in Consett, County Durham. Since 2019 we've sponsored and supported Derwentside Amateur Swimming Club (DASC) and we're aiming to help the organisation purchase key training equipment, whilst topping them up with some delicious healthy treats along the way.

The DASC team are County Durham's premier performance swimming club and we're delighted to be supporting an organisation which puts so much in to the local community. All the talented swimmers are extremely dedicated and every volunteer so hardworking, which is one of the core reasons we wanted to sponsor them. The fact they're local to Epicurium means a lot to our team too.

Derwentside Amateur Swimming Club is affiliated to the Northumberland and Durham Swimming Association and the Swim England North East Region. Children aged 3+ can learn to swim with us and aged from 9 years old can compete locally, regionally and nationally in both individual and team events.

The team train at both Consett Leisure Centre, Consett and the Louisa Centre, Stanley coached within the Competitive and Performance Academy. The Competitive and Performance Academy is led by head coach Paul Woodley.
