Started in a specially converted dairy on a remote Northumbrian farm in 1990, by Justine Carruthers, who still heads the company today. While the Traybakes has grown substantially in the intervening years, Justine’s original dream and values have remained constant – ‘to make a delicious cake that tastes and looks as though you made it yourself.’ Today Traybakes’ handmade cakes are created on the edge of the beautiful Lake District by a team of talented bakers. With solid brand loyalty across the UK, our cakes are made using fine ingredients using traditional recipes.
