How did it all start?

I was asked to take on a failing brand (gift business) that did various products including candles, incense and turned into a Top 14 Allergen Free Food Brand. I grasped the challenge and knew I wanted to create a free-from snack brand for people like me – I have very serious food allergies and anaphylaxis. When you spent each day scrutinising the food and drink you consume, because a wrong choice could kill you, on-the-go snack options are very, very limited. To create a brand which was safe while being delicious was my vision and it still is today.


What is Creative Nature about?

Our brand is safe, delicious, and free from the top 14 allergens as internationally recognised – many of our products are also much lower in sugar than alternatives and we also have a strong ‘green’ ethic. Our latest Gnawbles (sweet treats) are packaged in PET1 packaging which can be fully recycled. Our products are also vegan friendly. Our branding is designed to be modern, fun and eye-catching as often products in the free-from space suggest something more dour and often those products are not tasty! Who wants to chow down on something which tastes like wet cardboard.


Best feedback you've received?

‘Delicious without Doubt’ – A lot of people relate allergen free food to being tasteless and boring but that is not the case at all. We wanted to make our products delicious and most importantly available to all, everyone can enjoy our products whether they have allergies or not. Most importantly we want people to who have allergies to eat our products and know they are safe. 


Who will Creative Nature appeal to?

It stays healthy and relevant because we continually monitor and ask our audiences what they do and don’t like. We react intuitively to our audience and will adapt, change, and flex as our audience does. The key for us is to remain agile and flexible. We want to stand out in the right way and we’re willing as a brand to invest in that continuity and the evolution of our brand and the products it supports. We are heavily active on social media such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Twitter where we are constantly interacting with our customers on a deeper level.
