Johnny Cashew was born out of frustration with the traditional cashew supply chain, where African-grown cashews are shipped to Asia for shelling, leading to high carbon emissions, unfair farmer wages, and lost economic value for Africa. Determined to change the industry, Johnny Cashew set out to create a cashew supply chain that’s fair, sustainable, and transparent.
The brand’s journey began with the launch of the first carbon-neutral cashew supply chain, processing cashews where they grow. By paying farmers a premium and buying whole harvests, Johnny Cashew ensures every nut is used efficiently, supporting local economies and reducing waste.
